Ah yes…embrace it. So awful it’s awesome. Kind of like the 80′s in a nutshell, don’t you think?
This one’s inspirational to me in a certain way. The Beastie Boys did pretty good for themselves, despite starting with this kind of music…ergo, I can suck at things too, but I can always hope things will turn out if I just stick to it.
My writing comes to mind. Hell, a LOT of things come to mind.

Arnisador, the whole “License to Ill” album is like this song – sounds like some guys who bought instruments and are making rudimentary music with it. They found a niche, kept at it, and are now a house-hold name.

heh, that’s my point though. No Sleep was a parody, iirc, along the same lines as a Wierd Al pastiche. And License to Ill wasn’t their first album…they had a fairly extensive punk background prior, and then incorporated their version of rap onwards after License.
The sound they had was by design…which is why I loved it so much, and daresay, love it even more than their latter stuff.
